Our Journey at Kyogle Home LivingThe team at Kyogle Home Living began their journey in a modest 3x3 metre shed behind the main street in Kyogle, selling flooring and blinds.Owner Simon started his first job with Kyogle Flooring & Blinds on October 5, 2019, working in Casino. Within just a few months, the business quickly outgrew that tiny space.Fortunately, the landlord allowed them to expand into a larger area within the same location, prompting them to introduce furniture and some bedding lines, enjoying about 12 to 15 months of growth there.Simon always had his eye on a massive shop on the main street of Kyogle, but hesitated, thinking it was beyond his reach. Originally, he planned to move into a spacious shed in the back streets of Kyogle. However, after having it painted and prepared, he crunched the numbers and sought advice from other business leaders in town. They warned Simon against moving into that area, saying it was a risky decision.A new landlord offered Simon an incredible opportunity to move into his building at a favourable rate for the first 12 months, which turned out to be one of the best decisions Simon made. In May 2020, Simon and the team believed they had enough furniture to fill the new showroom, but as they unpacked, they realised they had only filled half of it. At that moment, Simon's mother generously lent him some money to purchase additional stock.Today, Kyogle Home Living proudly employ nine staff members, complemented by some casual and permanent part-time workers. They deliver all over the North Coast, with the furthest sale reaching Mackay to the north and the Central Coast to the south. Their goal is to accommodate everyone's budget, offering a wide range of products, including all types of flooring, blinds, bedding, decor, mattresses, furniture, and rugs - all while being locally owned.Thank you for being part of the Kyogle Home Living journey.
